Being a Flyfisherman Residing in the armpit of America (i.e. New Jersey) you would think I would be bitter but the truth is here in northwest Nj we have a very diverse fishery. I Grew up tossing shiners under a bobber for whatever would eat them. It wasn’t until I got a pickerel to take a swipe at a stick bait that I truly got hooked. The visual eat is what I fell in love with and what I still chase to this day. Throwing streamers for big predatory fish in my home waters is where you can find me on any given weekend. We have great opportunities right in my backyard and some great fisheries a stones toss away. Time at the vise is what keeps me connected to the water while I’m off it. Smallmouth, Largemouth, Pickerel, Pike, and Musky. I’ll chase anything that is above its weight class.
