Chris Brown | Squimpish Pro Team
Chris Brown is a member of the Squimpish Flies Pro Team, a group of fly tyers, anglers, guides, instructors, creators, and industry professionals who share their experience with the fly fishing community.
Originally hailing from western Pennsylvania where he began fly fishing in his teens, Chris relocated to New England permanently in his 20’s, initiating his fly fishing guide service in 2006. He's now based in southern Vermont in the highly trout-centric tri-state region where Massachusetts, New York, and Vermont collide. He's obsessed with tying streamers & swinging flies with the really-long wands [spey rods] for wild fish, and eliminating the common misconception that fly angling is an elitist pursuit. Bringing his blue-collar work ethic, and service background to the guiding trade, Chris is a true working-angler’s Guide that listens as well as advises. You can usually find Chris starting his days, pre-dawn, tying flies for what the day may bring, then stomping rivers & streams, or rowing his drift boat, Guiding on the Upper Delaware River system from April through October [with a few Striped Bass & Steelhead trips thrown-in for good measure]. For more information about Chris check out www.tiedyedflyguides.com for booking dates, and custom fly orders.
